Turkey Vulture (Cathartes Aura)

We neither toil nor spin
Yet Solomon in all his glory
Never had his head all the way inside
A possum carcass, feasting
On its entrails.

Mike Di Leo works in Richmond Virginia on the 18th floor of an office building. He sees turkey vultures every day. Mike has been inspired to write poems as a tribute to some of the animals we wrongly consider to be more pestilence than anything else.
